Jon grew up on a ranch in Oregon, far away from any world-class dive spots. In 2000, he migrated to California and graduated in 2004 with degrees in English and Geography from U.C. Berkeley. Accepting a career in marketing, he frantically searched for ways to spend his newly earned money. He found scuba diving in 2005 and has been at it ever since. Jon serves as CaliDivers' interim webmaster and Event Coordinator. He currently works for Discovery Channel, and is a big fan of Discovery's Shark Week.
